The grapefruit note hits right away—sharp and sticky, like a citrus peel thrown on hot coals—but it settles into something smoky and green once the black tea and nettle show up. It somehow captures that whirlpool energy without being heavy, and I keep catching whiffs of it on my skin hours later.
The black tea and juniper really come through, but what got me was that grapefruit bite cutting through the smoke—it's like the whirlpool's chaos in a bottle. I sprayed it on before a beach trip and kept catching whiffs of bonfire all day, even after the sun went down.
That opening hit of grapefruit hits like cold sea spray, then the black tea and juniper settle into something smoky and warm. It's the smell of a beach bonfire after you've been swimming, exactly as the description promises. Lasts a solid six hours on my skin.
