The opening waft of quince and honey is pure sunshine, but it's the burdock that keeps it grounded and green. The tuberose and oud in the fade turn it into something dark and meditative that lasts on my skin for a full workday. I've been reaching for this every single morning since it arrived.
I almost didn't get past the first spray—the quince hits sharp and green, like snapping a twig in early spring—but the osmanthus and honey mellow it into something warm and strange. The mugwort in the fade gives it this earthy, almost bitter edge that keeps me sniffing my wrist hours later.
The honey and burdock dry-down is strangely comforting, like the air after a storm in a root cellar. That osmanthus absolute keeps it from feeling too dark, though — it lingers bright and almost animalic for hours on my skin.
